Body Found At Scene Of Fire In Woodbridge: Prosecutor

A body has been found at the scene of a fire in Woodbridge, authorities said.

A woman was reported missing after the fire on Friday, Dec. 1, they said.

The body was burned too badly to make a positive identification, according to Brynn Krause, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.

The missing woman's son was injured in the fire, which is under investigation, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Police Director Robert Hubner.

Authorities did not release their names.

At approximately 6:45 a.m., police and firefighters were called to a residence on Greenbrook Avenue in the Keasbey section of Woodbridge.

They saw the house engulfed in flames, shortly after the house collapsed, Ciccone said.
